I'm not even exaggerating when I say this was the best fried chicken I've ever had in my 24 years of life. The fried chicken was hot fresh and crispy. I absolutely loved the flavors that I ordered. Can't say I was a huge fan of the Rose Tteokbokki. We also got some Soju that was really good and a spicy seafood soup which was very spicy just keep that in mind. I'll definitely be back again soon. Maybe during the week. Keep in mind that if you go on a weekend that the restaurant is very small so you'll probably have to wait to be seated. Some thing that did turned me off a lot about this restaurant was that there was a group of 3 men Being extremely loud and obviously they were drunk, but I felt like they were over-served alcohol. The restaurant is very small so I could hear them literally screaming and laughing right next to me. It really did not let me enjoy my meal as much as I would've liked to.
The chicken wings are delicious. Get the half n half! Loved the ramen and Tteok-bokki as well. 100% coming back to try more of the menu. They are very small, though, so you might have trouble getting a seat, but worth the wait!
1st Street Pocha is hands down the best restaurant in the area. The food is absolutely incredible—you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The wings, in particular, are some of the best I’ve ever had. Christina runs the place flawlessly, and the customer service is always top-notch. Whenever we have friends in town or want to take someone out, we take them here—and their minds are always blown. It’s just that good. And consistent! There’s often a short wait (because it’s so popular), but it never takes long—and you can always pop next door for a quick drink while you wait. I highly recommend this spot. I go about once a month and will definitely keep coming back.
The food is spectacular, I especially enjoyed the rose teokbokki and their wings!! The atmosphere is chill and fun, a perfect place to take your family and friends too. If you are ever looking for a Korean street food place, this is the number 1 spot!!!
Fantastic food and service. Chicken wings were great. Corn dog was so delicious and the cheese was melted to perfection. The house spicy noodle had to be my favorite though. It was a bit pricey, but I'll be back for the noodles regardless. I'm a big guy, so the small dining area is cool and inviting, but a bit awkward for chunky bois.
Everything was delicious, servers were efficient, prepare for the yummy heat Just get a side of rice in case it’s too much on its own.
You’ve really got to try the Korean Fried Chicken and Corndogs “hotdogs”. This place was the best date night we’ve had in awhile. Our waitress was warm and wonderful. We’ll absolutely be back, the only trouble is we want to try the whole menu but everything we got was TOO good. From best of the best to best: KFC, hotdogs, mandu, seasoned rice balls and spicy noodles.
1st Street Pocha, in my opinion, is a little hole-in-the-wall local spot that serves Korean street food-inspired dishes. I’ve brought numerous friends here, and they all have left with wonderful first impressions of the food. The service is always amazing every time I visit. The servers are friendly and kind. The food is usually consistent and rarely disappointing! My go-to order is the rose tteokbokki with ramen, corn cheese, and 10-piece soy truffle garlic wings. I’ve tried other items on their menu as well, but nothing tops these three for me. While I’ve only tried a handful of places that serve rose tteokbokki, this spot is my favorite. There’s something about the sauce—it’s a little sweet, a little savory, and a little spicy, which brings everything together perfectly! The corn cheese is simple but delicious, and sometimes I mix it with the rose tteokbokki sauce for extra flavor. When I first started going to 1st Street Pocha, they didn’t have truffle soy garlic wings, but when they added them to the menu, it caught my eye. Although the minimum order is 10 pieces, I believe every piece is worth it. The truffle soy garlic wings are packed with warmth, crispiness, and flavor. One thing to note is that they have limited seating inside; they have a handful of tables that can fit 2 or more people and a handful of tables that can fit 4 or more people. I love how they’re open pretty late as it’s pretty hard to find a place that offers good food and opens late around Portland.
